In the early 90s I visited Martin Hill at his warehouse to trade a vintage camera I had. I saw his name in the back of American Cinematographer, and I drove down to Charlotte and called him up, and he said "come on over." It was absolutely fascinating because I didn't expect the huge trove of cameras that he had there. And he gave me the full tour, just like this one, and he could not have been nicer about it. He told me that he supplied all the vintage prop cameras for the then recent movie "JFK" (all sorts of 16mm period news cameras) and that the production wanted two of every camera model. He said he did pretty well on that show.

When I was stationed in Seymour Johnson AFB in the early 70's I ate at Wilbur's probably 3-4 days a week - at least1. Between those wonderful hush puppies (I would get a back for $1 to take with me for my midnight shift at work), to that amazing chopped pork to that pitcher of SWEET tea on the table... over the years I have gotten off of I-95 and taken 13 over to Goldsboro JUST to eat at Wilbur's and treat my family to the best there is. And when I have been doing consulting in my adult career years I would bring friends and colleagues to experience it, too. I'm sorry Wilbur is gone, but hope the new Wilbur's will do well.

Love this product! Please turn off the background music. It is beyond me why UA-cam content creators think it cool-important-necessary to play music over their voice. We came to hear you,but we must fight the annoying music. Many folks have hearing difficulties, thus your background music ruins an otherwise important video.

Agreeing with germon49 below I was a bit overwhelmed today to hear Pat hit the highroad almost 2 years ago now. He influenced me like no other guitar player (save Van Ronk) back in the 60"s. I bumped into Pat walking down the road in Asheville back in 1985/86 and we sat on a stone wall for a bit and reminisced. I loved that guy! 💗

one of my favorite painters, I love his work so much. I first saw one of his paintings for the first time randomly in a very expensive store in Gramado, small town in south of Brazil. I didn't wanna come into the store because I couldn't afford anything and I knew the sellers would look down on me (it was a store called geovana regali, meant for very wealthy people), but my mom said there were some interesting sculptures in there that I would appreciate looking at and I decided to just ignore the stares and go in, and in there I saw the "Eggscapism" painting, I fell in love immediately, I asked one of the saleswamen what was the name of the painter, but since there were so many paintings in there she coudn't remember, she just said it was a vietnamise arstist. So I went home and googled exactly that, Huynh's name was the first image that showed up, and I have been researching every painting he did every since. I could've never afforded the painting from that store, but it was definitely worth going inside that day.
